At Pine Creek, we’ve alleviated this concern by assembling an in-house design team that collaborates closely with you, using 3D renderings to help you visualize the finished product and instill confidence in your decisions.
Our distinctive approach includes personal involvement from Josh and Glen in every project, ensuring direct and open lines of communication for a transparent and stress-free building experience. We take the approach of limiting the number of projects we undertake each year and scheduling them in their own dedicated construction slots. This helps us dedicate time to cultivating strong client relationships and consistently deliver quality and value on schedule.
The journey from the initial design stage to receiving your keys typically spans around 16 months. At Pine Creek, we prioritize people and their unique lifestyles, helping design custom builds that perfectly suit your needs.

Our path began from the humble beginnings of clearing basements to the meticulous task of extracting nails. However, as time passed, Glen and Josh evolved into integral members of the company, fine-tuning their skills and eventually rising to the esteemed position of owners.
Their father, Jasper Veenstra, wasn’t only a parent but a strict mentor, especially when it came to emphasizing the pursuit of uncompromising quality. It was his remarkable example and steadfast commitment to the highest standards that served as the bedrock for Pine Creek Homes to attain its esteemed reputation as a builder.
Their family’s affinity for woodworking runs deep. In the 1990s, their uncle John, embarked on a journey to immerse himself in the art of timber framing. Naturally, young apprentices Josh and Glen were drawn to this craft, dedicating countless hours after school to meticulously carve timbers in the Pine Creek workshop. This acquired knowledge played a pivotal role in steering Pine Creeks towards crafting distinctive homes characterized by the grace of heavy timber elements.

After that, it all starts with 1 phone call- your first point of contact is with our co-owner Josh Veenstra. This gives our clients the chance to know what we’re about right at our core.
Our process is unique because we are a family-owned and operated company, meaning clients will be working with our owners from start to finish.
Glen and Josh started in this industry at a very young age, so building is essentially in their DNA.
However, we’re not here to talk circles around you, or force our opinions onto yours. Our mission is to build you a home or cottage that fits your needs and preferences exactly as you’d like.
We are here only to offer our expertise, attention to detail, and high-quality standards.
With that said, your experience means everything to us- that is why we have an online portal to check in on their build as often as you wish, we meet weekly to review anything of concern, and you have on-site access whenever you like.
But before we even start building, we really try to get to know you. We’ll meet multiple times to understand your vision, fears, and desires.
Once we’ve built that trust, we are ready to dive right in. To avoid stressing over small details straight away, we’ll start by drawing up a plan we think fits your wants and needs.
We’ll present it to you and make all the changes, decisions, and revisions as needed so your build turns out to be everything you imagined.
We back this up by showing you 3D renderings of the build so you can get as close as possible to seeing the final look. Our process is clean and simple, and once you are happy with your choices, we take care of the rest.
As designers AND builders, we are able to cut the fuss for our clients. You won’t have to deal with vendors you are uncertain if you can trust, scheduling, or the stress of coordinating in an unfamiliar industry on your own.
We have many years of experience, an unwavering dedication to quality craftsmanship, and we only work with vetted trades that we know we can trust, and if for whatever reason something doesn’t go according to plan, we will always rectify any issues.
Every change order will be approved by you, so you never need to stress about costs or miscommunications. You also will never have to worry about getting overlooked, because we book each build into a construction slot. That means our workload never gets overwhelmed and we always have the time to address issues. In fact, we care so much about our client’s experience that we come to visit your home 1 year after possession to make sure no issues have come up since the keys have been handed over.
We emphasize “experience” because we truly want to make a moment out of everything. We want you to have just as much enjoyment in the process as you will once you get into your new farmhouse, escape, empire, cottage, getaway, or simply just your dream home.

Outside the office, Glen enjoys quality time with his family and coaching his son’s hockey team. He is also an avid outdoorsman and uses any excuse to get back to nature. Growing up having a family cottage is where his love of adventure and the outdoors began. His aspirations lie in the hopes that building family cottages will allow other kids to have the same great memories he had.

When Josh isn’t at his desk or on-site, he spends his time with his wife and daughters, either enjoying the outdoors, staying at the family cottage, or travelling to new places.
